Malcolm & Alex.
Here are a few from this weekend.
We had fun chasing Malcolm around; he's pretty quick! We also learned something. Tara and I need to find something else to bribe kids with, because believe it or not there are a few kids out there that don't like candy.
We are still working on updates to the blog and we may also do a few more to the website. Tara and I have both been pretty busy outside of photography, but believe it or not we are planning on rolling out a marketing campaign in the near future that we are both pretty excited about. So keep checking back for updates and if you haven't already checked out our Facebook page check it out and also check us out on Twitter.

The site is updated!
Finally! We still have galleries to add, but the main part is done. Now it's time to start work on the blog. Luckily I've got a jump start on it but I start back to school this week so it may still take a while to get everything done.
Also there are still a few spots open for the free children sessions. I think we may go till the end of July with these, but it really just depends on our schedule. So, book now to reserve your spot. Saturdays and Sundays are the only days of the week we are doing these.
I leave you with a picture of Ellie from this weekend. This girl automatically starts to pose now anytime someone pulls out a camera. Tara and I tried to get her to tone it down, but it's like she is compelled to show off every move she's learned from watching the Jonas Brothers or Miley Cyrus. It's entertaining to say the least.
Hope everyone has a good week!

Free Session Possibilities.
Tara and I decided to work on our "kids" portfolio a little so we took a drive around the area with my nephews this weekend.
If you, or anyone you might know is interested we are looking for more "fresh faces" for our website update, which is still in progress. Any kids in the age range of 2-6 will be considered and of course there will be no session fees for these sessions. These sessions are about creativity so we guarantee something different and not of the norm./boring. We are only doing this for a limited time and only have a limited number of slots. If interested please email us at info@710photography.com for a chance for a free session. Please include in the emal, your name, child's name, child's age, times you are available, and if at all possible a picture of the child to help us plan the session.

New logo, and more!
Just a few quick updates.
1. New logo (see above). Tara and I collaborated on this and finally after many rough sketches, trashed illustrator files, and some bickering we finally came up with the new image for Seven Ten Photography.
2. We are now on Facebook and Twitter. Become a fan and send us a tweet, you never know we could make it worth your time.
3. Last but not least, we are currently working on revisions to the website. We are hoping to go live with the revisions by this weekend, so keep checking back to see the new face of Seven Ten Photography.

Kayle & Boe.
Saturday we got to spend the afternoon with Kayle, Boe and Boston. Kayle and Boe are getting married July 4th and asked us to do their engagement photos. We had tons of fun dragging this crew around town taking pictures, and we couldn't have asked for better subjects! Kayle and Boe make such a cute couple with wonderful chemistry. Boston was also a wonderful subject and was always eager to give us his big adorable smile when we asked! We just posted their engagement session online, so check it out by clicking "Client Access" at www.710photography.com.

Where did the weekend go?
It seems like the weekend just started, but here it is Sunday night already.
It's been a busy weekend, but I still found a little time to have some fun and put this image together. It's not everyday you see a television sitting on the curb.
Tara and I got the pleasure of shooting an engagement session with Kayle and Boe this weekend. The session was a lot of fun and we'll be posting a few previews on the blog soon.

Big changes!
This weekend we got the pleasure of spending our Saturday in Kansas City learning from the amazing photographer Sandy "Sam" Puc'. Sam does these great tours for photographers to share her knowledge and help us grow our businesses. We got to attend this year's tour called Tots 2 Teens. Needless to say the many hours we spent listening to her were worth every one of them (even with our sore back and necks!) So keep checking back because we have some big changes coming up! Hopefully we will have something new to present to you guys every month from here on out, so look out!!!
Interested in seeing what Sam offers? Check out the Tots 2 Teens site by clicking the logo at the top.

Oklahoma = Snow?
Tara and I made a trip down to Tulsa, Ok. Saturday for an Mpix Meet-Up (photography workshops) and little did we know we were going to run into a blizzard.
First we took part in a workshop on high key lighting.
Then we pretty much got out of Dodge. The total estimated snowfall for Tulsa was reportedly almost 10 inches. It was all just really kind of bizarre, I mean it's almost April. This last image was the icing on the cake though.
You know the roads aren't very safe when you see a snowplow in the ditch. However we made it home safe and sound thanks to Tara's skills behind the wheel.

First session posted to new site!
It seems as though the process of getting a site of our own up and running has taken forever; it's really only been a few months. I can't tell you how excited I am that we are finally able to post our first session to the new site. Check it out!(Password:Beyeler) In some ways it seems as though most of the work is done, but in reality it's only beginning. As time goes by I'm sure there will be numerous improvements made to the site. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions we would love to hear them. Please don't hesitate to drop us a line.

Rain, Rain, Go Away!
Saturday we had a session with the Beyeler Family, but the rain was threatening to shut us down. We met the Kansas City family at the Falls in Joplin, MO to do a quick family session while they were in the area for a wedding. As our session time grew near the rain came down, but about 10 minutes before we were going to start the rain let up. On our way out after the session, the rain started again. Maybe we should have went and bought a lottery ticket since we were so lucky that day!
As far as the session went, we got some great pictures. The Beyeler family was great, and their kids were so well behaved! I hope that we can do another session for them again, because it was a real joy to get to spend some time with them.

Standing in a field.
Tara and I went out today to take a few pictures of Ellie. Unfortunately Ellie decided to call it quits after about 5 minutes. It was probably a good thing though because we were in a field outside of town and I kept hearing gunshots off in the distance.

May I present the lovely Tara Carpenter.
It doesn't happen very often, but every once in a while I do manage to snap a picture or two of her. The tricky part is getting it on the internet without her getting mad at me.

Did a few little updates on the site and the blog.
Got a new logo up. Tara and I went back and forth with this for a little while (we have slightly different artistic taste). Finally came to a compromise, I did half and she did the other half. Please let us know what you think.
I'm sure we will be making little changes here and there for a while.

Goodbye '08, hello '09.
Maybe tomorrow
Originally uploaded by 710 Photography
It's been a while.
So, first off the new year will bring many new things. A new website will be up in the coming weeks. Yes we will actually have a 710photography.com, should be very cool and we are really excited about it.
Next two things aren't really new, but I haven't posted anything about them yet.
We are now officially WPPI members. For those of you not in the know, WPPI stands for Wedding and Portrait Photographers International. It's one of the largest photographer organizations.
Second, we had a print chosen to hang in our print lab's new facility. It's no major award, but considering they print work for many big photographers it's a nice little surprise.
The last new news for the new year (at least for the moment) is the biggest. Tara, Ellie, and I will be making an addition to our humble little family in August. Yes, we are having a baby, rather Tara is having a baby; I'm just here for moral support.
It should be an exciting year to say the least.
